Dear Jeanette, Mike & Sally
My condolences to you and yours in your loss of Bud. I have so many wonderful memories of times at ecola Inn and Bud was such an important part of that. He and all of you have surely helped to enrich our lives. Jim & I spent our honeymoon there 23 years ago and sandy and I always look forward to our annual week there. We are so very thankful.
Know that you are in my thoughts during this time of change in your lives.

We are so sorry of getting the news of Bud's passing. He will always be in our hearts. We have so many precious memories of Ecola and Cannon Beach.
I just wanted to thank you for all the great times and memories we've had at Ecola.
I started coming when i was 7 years old (that's been about 46 years), I've been lucky enough to have 3 generations of my family enjoy your hospitality. Bud will be missed by all.

Dear Jeanette,
We were so sorry to receive your announcement of Bud's death. he was such a huge part of Ecola Inn, it won't seem the same without him at the counter. Your whole family has made it one of the happiest places we've ever been and frankly the delight of each of the ten years we've been staying with you. I never dreamed a little motel could have such warmth and friendliness. do you ever feel like you have this vast extended family rather than just a bunch of customers? You and bud made it that way, and we want to thank you.
You know our friends the Garlows? They asked us recently if we'd like to go on a cruise to Alaska to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary this summer. (Carl was in our wedding in february of 1969; Randy was in their wedding in June, same year). randy and I figured out the cost and decided, nope, for that amount we can go to Cannon Beach for TWO WEEKS and there's no vacation in the world that can compare to that.
I wish there was something I could do to help as you're sorting out duties and responsibilities, but I am at a loss. I can't give you a hug from Edmonds!
