Bud and (Jeanette) have been special friends for a goo many years. Bud, always with a warm friendly welcome; defering all legal matters to Jeanette and giving support to us all.

I’m sorry to hear of Bud’s passing. I really enjoyed the few times I spoke with Bud. He had wonderful knowledge and insight regarding Cannon Beach history. I once shared with Bud an old essay I found titled “My memories of Cannon Beach”. The essay made reference to Bud in his youth and Bud shared his recollections with me which I appreciated.
I believe he was a man of principle and whether or not you agreed with his perspective you went away knowing he had dome his research and you felt his passion.
It’s sad that we live with people of significance (like Mr. Stevens) in our midst but we are never intentional about taking the time to learn and glean from them.
